Dr Alemayehu Molla is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business Information Technology, RMIT University, Australia. He directs the School’s PhD and Master by Research programs and is the Convenor of the Systems, Models and Strategies research cluster. Dr. Molla’s research focuses on E-business, Enterprise Systems and ICTs and Development. In the past six years, he has raised more than 150,000 USD in competitive research grants and consulting contracts. He has published more than 44 articles, of which six appear in the top five information systems, e-commerce and development informatics journals. Dr. Molla’s research works have international reputation and are cited (some more than 60 times) by many international academics and practitioners.
Dr Molla has also supervised to completion three PhD Candidates and is currently supervising nine Doctoral and Masters by research students on projects related to e-business, the strategic value of IT and enterprise information systems. He serves as an International Editorial Advisory Board for the Advances in Knowledge Communities and Social Networks (AKCSN) Book Series. He sits on the editorial boards of five journals and reviews for a number of other international journals and conferences. Dr Molla has an extensive experience in both undergraduate and graduate teaching accumulated in Australia, The UK and Africa.
